The transport of artworks that have been bought can be organized through Bigli Art Broker. We use well known transport firms with experience in the moving of valuable works of art, and which are accepted by the insurance policies of Axa Art.
Bigli Art Broker can organise the packing and the shipping, aiming to make available the best service for the best price. We will discuss the various options with you before proceeding.

An artwork that has been bought by a client outside Italy in the majority of the cases (when older than 50 years) needs to have an export permission from the Italian authorities. Bigli Art Broker will apply for this export licence.
Payment made by the buyer will be definitve only after this export licence has been obtained. These formalities may take a month.

The works for sale are catalogued by Bigli Art Broker. The period of creation is always guaranteed, as is the autenticy for 20th c. artworks. As for Old Master Paintings and works of art, the attribution to a specific artist is determined, and motivated, by the latest state of art historical research. Often attributions are further supported by art historical publications or otherwise confirmed by experts in the specific field.

When an attribution is preceded with 'attributed to', this indicates that we do believe the work is by the artist indicated, but with a margin of uncertainty and that we do not exclude it may be by a stylistically related artist, contemporary to the attributed artist.

In calculating the price of a work of art, a number of variables come into play, and these are carefully analyzed by the experts at Bigli Art Broker, with the support of outside specialists in both art history and restoration. The basic variables are authenticity, authorship, attribution, iconography, provenance, dimension, the material support and condition and trends in the art market at the moment of sale. A proper definition of the price can be made when previous negotiations involving similar works of art provide a means for comparison. In this regard, Bigli Art Broker avails itself of a vast data base and an up-to-date library. We will be happy to motivate the price asked.

The work of art is delivered to the Purchaser, complete with a catalogue entry, when payment is made, at which time transport of the work becomes his responsibility (for artworks older than 50 years this is definitive only after an export licence has been granted).
The sale price includes the commission that Bigli Art Broker may legally charge and 20% tax (IVA - VAT) calculated on the amount of the commission only.
